While this is an interesting question that has definite potential, I was kind of hoping for more than a single sentence.
I like that this topic has direct relevance to your agency and that it's something that could be easily researchable. My biggest concern is that this question could be answered pretty simply--it would yield a list, not necessarily an arguable position. What about pregnant substance abuse do you want to focus on? Can you uncover some of the underlying issues/dilemmas? See the unit two sheet for some more questions that you could (and should) ask yourself.
This question is perfect in that it is a major factor in a lot of pregnancies with woman who come from troubled backgrounds. I do agree with Mr. Samuelson when he says it can be answered with a list. If you could revise that question to make it more about the situation rather than the health matter that would turn the question around into more of what we are dealing with in our service learning. Good job!
I think the question is interesting. I do agree with Richard though. The answer could be answered by simply putting a list down. It makes me think of my question and how easily that could be answered too. Physiological damage is pretty straight but if you look into psychological damage a whole lot more research opportunities open up for you.
